Hello friends and neighbors,
My name is Cristen Incitti. I am a nonprofit executive, affordable housing champion, coalition builder, Girl Scout troop leader, and mom. I am running for Saint Paul City Council because our city needs a leader who is progressive and practical; a leader who is focused on solutions, and collaborates with our city leaders to work towards practical solutions that center our community values and needs.
I believe that everything starts at home. If Saint Paul can get housing right, we can build a city with economic vitality, public safety, and livability for our families, seniors, students, for everyone in our city. Saint Paul is full of residents who care deeply about the place we call home, and I want to work alongside our community to ensure every resident has an affordable place to call home, a thriving business community, clean, reliable and safe transportation, infrastructure that sets our communities up for success, and youth development programming that focuses on building Saint Paul’s future leaders, scientists, athletes, artists, and world changers.
I am skilled at building coalitions to achieve a goal. As a nonprofit leader, I have built several statewide coalitions that have worked across differences to tackle challenging problems, like affordable housing and economic development, with a solution-focused mentality. Our city needs a leader who can work towards the shared vision and goals for our city while building coalitions. We cannot achieve our vision for Saint Paul alone. I know how to do this work.
My family is invested in Saint Paul. We love Saint Paul and I am deeply invested in community and connection. Our favorite places to dine are here. Gus Gus, Spicy Feta, Groundswell are some of our frequent stops. We play in our Ward 4 parks and enjoy sledding, swinging, and playing baseball at Merriam Park. We value our public libraries and parks and recreation programs. I’ve been a youth volleyball coach through our city’s program and have had the pleasure of getting to know other families in Saint Paul who value this service. I host our annual National Night Out event in our neighborhood and my favorite part is connecting with familiar and new faces to hear what they love about our community.
Our city offers some of the best amenities and services, and our city needs to be fiscally strong to ensure these services continue and are available for everyone. I know how to manage complex budgets and make choices. I value fiscal stability, while focusing on ensuring that Saint Paul is a thriving and vibrant community for all of our neighbors into the future.
I am a leader who centers relationships, hope, and solutions in my work. I know Saint Paul can tackle the challenges before us and continue building a city that is celebrated for its connected neighborhoods, restaurants, city amenities, affordability, and safety for everyone. I look forward to getting to know more of you in our ward, hearing about your ideas for Saint Paul, and earning your support.
Let’s get to work!
